The Community Impact Award honors the individuals and organizations who provide outdoor experiences that empower the lives of young people. This award recognizes exceptional contributions to youth development, mentorship, and resilience building.
For the past seventeen years, Jay Peak Resort in Vermont has been the home of the CatRock Youth Leadership Summit. Each spring, our students travel up to Jay Peak and spend a week challenging themselves, learning to ski, snowboard, snowshoe, and ultimately to hike up to the top of the mountain. Jay Peak Resort is not only a perfect place for students to step out of their comfort zones, but a place that is always welcoming and supportive to our youth. We consider it our home away from home and we are thrilled to recognize them with the Community Impact Award. We want to extend an extra shout-out to Steven Wright, President and General Manager, and Ted Fleischer, Special Events Manager, for all they do to make our programs a great success.
